At the heart of the
Dampier Peninsula
Banana Well Getaway is on Nyul Nyul Country, Nyul Nyul is one of seven language groups on the Dampier Peninsula. Banana Well's founders and their families have strong traditional & historical ties to the area around Banana Well, known as 'Burrguk'. Burrguk means 'high place' or 'higher ground' in Nyul Nyul language.
Just over 1.5 hours drive from Broome along the newly sealed Cape Leveque Road and with a central location on the Dampier Peninsula, Banana Well Getaway puts the best of the Dampier Peninsula within easy reach.
Banana Well Getaway is a beautiful, nature based campground, located on the amazing and wonderfully diverse Beagle Bay Creek, where you can enjoy fishing, crabbing and bush walking. We are a family and dog friendly park with a small dip pool, filled with the freshest mineral water from our Artesian Spring.
